School Lunches

    School Lunches

The children eat lunch together in the school hall. Children who have a school lunch have a meat or vegetarian option with a range of delicious vegetables, side dishes and salad. There is also a choice of dessert. The children are served their lunch by the friendly kitchen staff and are encouraged to try new foods. There are often themed days to highlight foods from different parts of the world, for example 'Greek day', 'African day' and 'picnic days' in the summer term where everyone eats outside.

The children who bring a packed lunch sit with those who have a school dinner so everyone can enjoy sitting with friends from their class. Lunchtime begins at 12.15 for Reception and each class follows shortly after until everyone is seated. There are lots of members of staff on hand to help the children and ensure everyone has a good lunchtime.

We encourage those who bring in a packed lunch to have healthy options to eat and it is school policy that we do not allow fizzy drinks, sweets or chocolate bars. There should also be no glass containers or nuts as we are a nut free school.

Once the children are finished, they are encouraged to clear their lunch tray or pack away their lunch box. After this they go to their playground for the remainder of the lunchtime session for lots of fun and games outside.

School lunch money must be paid in advance and can be paid for in school or online. Please contact the office for current prices.
